In the second season of the multiple award-winning series Fiskarnas Rike, the magical water journey through Sweden's rivers, lakes and seas continues. Nature filmmaker Martin Falklind and his team allow us to meet water creatures we hardly thought existed, in everything from rippling mountain streams to deep seas. At the same time, the viewer is thrown between hope and despair, when the back pages are revealed about how badly many waters are treated. Overfishing and dried-up watercourses are commonplace in these environments. But Martin Falklind also meets the enthusiasts who are ready to help. All around the country, ghost net divers, fish caretakers, beach cleaners, researchers and volunteers are working to make a difference. – The realization that we humans too are dependent on healthy living aquatic environments seems to be spreading among more and more people, says Martin Falklind.
